ABOUT AGENCY AND EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Welcome to AEMSTEC CONSULTANT & TECHICAL SERVICES INC. a Saint Lucian founded agency with guidance and help through the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) in 2000 - 2005. You are about to join a network of professionals dedicated to providing quality emergency care and safety training.
The institution and Educational Center has established networks with a number of local and international agencies towards the delivery of its services to St. Lucia, some of these include but not limited to: the American National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI),
The EMT Department provides high quality EMS education that meets the social and economic needs of the community and the region and enables students to succeed in achieving their individual career goals in Prehospital Emergency Medical Services and life goals.
As part of the agency’s Ten Year Plan we hope to see the establishment of four main Divisions:
Division of Prehospital Emergency Medical Services Education
The Medic Alert & Response Division
Division Emergency Medical Flight Services
Division K9 Search, Rescue and Detection
Institute for Emergency Management and Training Services (IEMTS)
The agency is governed by a Board of Directors assisted by a Board of Trustees (BOT) and managed on a daily basis by an Educational Center Coordinator and the Faculty of Emergency Medical Technology, comprising of a corps of internationally certified instructors in various disciplines.
It is hoped that the agency expands, with other departments and divisions and will see the future formation of an Institute for Emergency Management and Training Services.

OUR HISTORY

/ OUR ROOTS
On November 9, 2004 the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, First approved and accepted to monitor, evaluate, conduct examinations and certify our Emergency Medical Technology Training Program.
In 2006 our center decided to break from collaboration with the PHEMS Unit, Jamaica to pursue advancement in certification by way of international certifications and EMS/EMT programs accredited by the Commission of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) towards meeting international standards and certification
In 2009 our training center was designated and approved by the American Geriatric Society as a training center for their Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services Providers (GEMS) Program
On Friday 28 August, 2009, AEMSTEC CONSULTANT & TECHNICAL SERVICES INC. attained status as an Authorized Approved and Designated Independent International Training Center of the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). This milestone achievement was quite timely in its bestowing on the company as will undoubtedly allowing us to continue serving our nation with the highest possible standard of emergency management training.
On March 20, 2006, our agency we approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics to conduct the Pediatric First Aid for Care Givers and Teachers as part of the wide range of courses we other towards community capacity building.
On April 15, 2011 our Training Center received national recognition as a Training Center for Prehospital Emergency Medicine and related programs from the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Labour Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) and Accreditation Unit
On August 20, 2012 Aemstec Consultant & Technical Services Inc training center formally entered, established and signed a Memorhandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Good Fellowship Ambulance, Paramedic and Emergency Training Institute based in West Chester, Pennsylvania with the expressed objective of facilitating Examination, Certification, Monitoring of program, International Clinical Internship Program, coordinating and liaison between our program and the United States national Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Providing advance training opportunities for our graduate Emergency Medical Technicians.
On May 1, 2013 our Center for Emergency Medical Services (CEMSE) formally entered, established and signed a Memorhandum of Understanding (MOU) and Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) with Pasco Hernando Community College, now Pasco Hernando State College with the expressed objective of Examination, Certification, Monitoring of program and students
